What is iCloud?
It is merely a service that retains information on your devices in sync. Basically, you can share information between an iPhone, iPad, ipod itouch, and a computer. The information on each of your device is automatically updated to be sure the most current information exists on all devices. The service is free, works wirelessly, and runs in the back, with no special action required by the end user.
For example, you could be away with friends and take some photographs with your iPhone. Those photographs are automatically available on your entire other devices. There is no need to manually copy photographs from your i phone to your computer. The photographs are automatically available on your computer.
In addition to syncing photographs across multiple devices, it also syncs other information such as: iTunes purchases, Associates, Calendars, Notes, documents, Simple guidelines, and Safari bookmarks. It offers the capability to back-up your device or find a lost device.
The syncing service works by storing your information firmly on a remote hardware. This online storage capacity is also known as “cloud” storage. By safely storing your information online, you can access this info from any device, without notice.
Create an Account
To get started, you first have to create a free account. Typically, your account can be the same as your Apple ID. If this noises a little confusing, your Apple ID is the e-mail address you used when signing up for iTunes. You use the Apple ID and security password to download programs or music. To keep things simple, you can also use the same Apple ID when creating an iCloud account. However, if you have more than a single person sharing the Apple ID, you may want to create an independent account.
Setup on an iOS System
As part of the setup process for a new device, you were asked to enter an Apple IDENTIFICATION and setup iCloud. You might have an active account and not realize it. Actually if you elected to not permit the service in your initial device installation, you can permit it whenever you want by opening the Settings software on your iOS device and selecting iCloud. If the service is not enabled, you will be asked to your Apple ID and password. Once logged in, you will see options to permit syncing of various types details. Collection the slider control to ON for every single item you want to sync between devices.
